Hi friends! Today I want to share a collection of my favorite modern fall DIY wreaths! If you’ve been thinking about making your own wreath this fall, then this list of DIYs is for you!

There are so many talented DIYers out there sharing their ideas and projects with the world! These are some of the best tutorials I found. Hopefully you will find one you like and it will help you create the prettiest wreath on your street this fall.
BUT! Your front door is not the only place for a fall wreath!
You can make a few different ones and hang them in different parts of your home. They would look great hanging over a painting or a mirror, behind your dining chairs, or hanging in front of a window.
Apartment Therapy has a great post on this with 6 different ideas for where to hang your wreaths. (You can follow the same tips for your Christmas wreaths as well!)

I prefer simple and more minimalist seasonal decorations. I find it’s a little bit easier to integrate neutral decorations with the rest of my decor at home. Currently, I am LOVING the asymmetrical wreaths with tons of beautiful green foliage. They are also called “half wreaths”. I think they look really pretty and modern.
MODERN FALL WREATH DIYs
The wreath DIY tutorials I am featuring all lean more towards a modern look, and for the most part, are quite straightforward to make! Let’s get started!
If you’re looking for a variety of ideas for modern fall decor that will complement your wreath, you can check out my post about beautiful & simple fall decorations.
1. BOHO FEATHERED FALL WREATH DIY
Aniko over at Place of My Taste totally nailed it with this boho inspired fall wreath!
I love the neutral browns from the duck feathers and the tufts of straw she used on a simple grapevine wreath base.
Check out her tutorial here!
2. DIY MODERN FALL GOLD RING WREATH
This DIY wreath was made by Sarah over at Making Joy and Pretty Things and it is beautiful! She uses a gold macrame ring and an assortment of greenery and peonies to make a modern fall wreath.
It really is the perfect DIY modern fall wreath with moody fall colors. You can use faux or real flowers and foliage. Real flowers and foliage will look amazing but won’t last as long. Using faux will mean you can keep your wreath for many years to come!

3. MODERN GRAPEVINE WREATH DIY
I love this DIY wreath from Threads and Blooms because it uses real grapevines and dried flowers! And I have a lot of those in my garden! So it excites me to be able to use them in a craft project. The end result is so elegant and rustic at the same time, and it’s perfect for decorating any room in the house.
The step-by-step instructions are really easy to follow and I can’t wait to make this wreath myself this year. It seems like a fun and satisfying experience to see something beautiful emerge from materials that I already had on hand!
4. FORAGED FALL WREATH DIY
Another stunner of a wreath was created by Jelica over at A Pretty Fix and you definitely need to check it out. Jelica has even put together a video tutorial so go on over to her blog and show her some fall wreath love! ♥

5. AUTUMN EMBROIDERY HOOP WREATH DIY
Lindi at Love Create Celebrate says that this pretty wreath only takes about 20 minutes to make!
I think most of the time spent on this one is needed to decide how you want to arrange your florals! All you need is an embroidery hoop, some white paint, glue and florals of your choice.
Paint hoop white, arrange florals, glue ’em on and hang! Easy peasy!
Here is the tutorial. She also has a video, so check that out as well!
6. DIY ASYMMETRICAL EUCALYPTUS WREATH
I love this fresh and beautiful eucalyptus wreath DIY from Hello Nest!
An asymmetrical fall eucalyptus wreath is a beautiful and elegant way to show your love of the autumn season without using any warm colors! You can add a bit of variety or sparkle to your wreath by using beaded ornaments, flowers, or other glittery materials like ribbon.
Check out how to make this beauty here.
7. MINIMAL PUMPKIN WREATH DIY
And here is the first wreath we are featuring that has pumpkins! I couldn’t resist the look of those adorable little gold pumpkins that Caitlin from The Merrythought added to her fall DIY wreath. And since you’re going over there anyways, you might as well check out their other minimalist fall wreath tutorial as well.
She describes how she makes her wreath here and has a video embedded in her post, too.
8. SIMPLE MODERN HOOP WREATH WITH YARN DIY
I love the simplicity of this hoop wreath that Alexis from Persia Lou did! Some delicate yarn, a few strands of faux succulents and a couple of huge blooms make this an incredibly easy, yet effective fall wreath!
See what she used and how she put it together here.
