If you find yourself gift shopping for someone who has a discerning taste in design and you have NO IDEA what to get them, don’t worry: I’ve compiled a list of stunning items that even the biggest design snob won’t be tempted to regift! 😅

Pin for later!

Whether it’s a Christmas gift, a birthday present, or just because, these unique gift ideas for the design-obsessed will delight and surprise your favorite design lover.

1. Arch cutting boards

I’m a firm believer that the ordinary things we use every day should be lovely. It’s what we use and look at on a daily basis, so why shouldn’t those things bring us joy? Well, these cooking boards bring me joy and I bet your gift recipient will agree.

These solid beech wood boards come both in an arch shape, but also an S shape and they are super reasonably priced at just $30.

2. The Always Pan from Our Place

This pan may seem a little pricey, and I’ll admit it is. However, if you can get it on a sale (like right now), it’s an absolutely gorgeous piece of cooking equipment that’s worth the price-tag.

I own the Always pan in the color steam, but there are several other beautiful (and dare I say on-trend…) colors that are available for purchase.

The pan has a huge discount right now, so if you were thinking about getting one (either for yourself or for a loved one), NOW is the time!

3. Alessi plisse kettle

I actually don’t typically love Alessi design items – but this kettle? It’s absolutely stunning. The first time I saw it in person, I actually gasped. It’s not cheap by any means – but if you’re looking for a luxury gift that’ll put a smile on your design-lover friend or special someone, this is it.

Considering that I keep my kettle on my counter 24/7 since I use it so much, having something that looks like a piece of art is a definite plus.

No doubt this is a present that you will get countless thanks for.

Psst! If a kettle is not needed, there are a multitude of other Alessi Plisse products that look just as good …

The Plisse citrus squeezer …

The Plisse Toaster …

there’s also a blender and a handmixer set

4. Vitruvi essential oil diffuser

If your friend enjoys fragrance, the Vitruvi will be a very appreciated gift. These gorgeous ceramic essential oil diffusers not only look chic as heck, but they do an amazing job at diffusing whichever scent you decide to use with your machine. They can scent an area of up to 500 sqft, which is pretty impressive.

The standout feature of the Vitruvi of course are the aesthetics – the design is modern, clean and minimalistic, which fits in well with what is on trend right now in the design world.

There are some really pretty colors available so take your pick 🙂

SECRET POSH SHOPPING TIP!!! If you don’t want to shell out the cash for the original Vitruvi, I found a fantastic, HEAVILY DISCOUNTED dupe over on Aliexpress. Of course it doesn’t have the Vitruvi brand name on it, but that’s why it’s so cheap 😉

5. Luxe edition of popular boardgames

luxury boardgames

I saw these today at Homesense and wanted them so bad, haha!

If your design savvy friend/relative/significant other also happens to be a Monopoly or Scrabble lover, then this just might be THE perfect gift.

They are still the same classic board games we know and love, but everything has been taken up a notch (or ten) in the design department. Really – you have to see it to believe it! I never thought a board game could look good until today, lol. Turns out all you need to do is simplify the design, cut out the plastic bits and improve the materials … pretty much exactly like when you’re decorating 😉

The playing boards are framed in solid maple wood, and they look so gorgeous! There’s even a solid maple wood drawer below the board where you can store all the game pieces.

In the Luxe Monopoly, all the little houses are carved out of wood (very far from the original colored plastic!). The roll area is also framed in wood. The money and cards are also premium quality and all the figures are die cast.

I’ve only seen Luxe versions of Scrabble and Monopoly in person, but I wonder if WS Games might release Luxe Editions of other games in the future (Luxe Risk, anyone?).

These luxury boardgames are pretty pricey, but I think that if you can find these at your local Homesense you’ll get a better deal than online.

6. Ferm living ripple glasses

These glasses are just too beautiful to not include on this list! They are like pieces of art, yet are made for everyday use.

I’m partial to the Long drink glasses (the ones pictured above), but the tumblers are so nice too. Oh and I highly recommend checking out the carafe as well. SO. GOOD.

7. Chip & Dip platter

I always remember that scene from Madmen when I say chip and dip, lol. Do you remember it?

Anyways, unlike the Madmen chip n dip, THIS one is gorgeous! It’s such a versatile piece that can be used as a serving platter for your veggies and dip, or chips and salsa on game day. A

Besides being dishwasher safe, it’s also oven-proof, so I use mine to make nachos as well! Gone are the days of serving nachos directly from the baking tray lol.😉

The white color makes it easy to pair with other dishware as well, which is always a bonus if you’ve got a lot of other serving platters and dishware. It also makes it easy to use it for any season, holiday or celebration.

At just $15, this is a really great gift that looks a lot more expensive than it actually is!

8. Chic charging station

Your friend or special someone will be truly spoiled if you get this for them. Not only is this charging station really pretty, but it’s incredibly useful too!

The dock can charge up to 3 Qi-enabled devices at once(!!), has a weighted base and features a non-slip linen surface. LOVE IT.

Comes in camel, charcoal and natural (basically off-white).
