This bright and inviting living room was featured in a Swedish real estate listing. I thought I’d try a room redo to see how much it would cost to get this look, because I love the calm and cozy feel of this beautiful living room.

Turns out this is not an overly expensive look to achieve: you can makeover your living room to look just like this one for just under $2000.

Some of the elements that are appealing are the mix of metal, leather, textures from the rug and throw, and the clean lines of the white storage and white curtains. And the pops of greenery in every corner really add freshness!

Swedish real estate websites are a great source of inspiration for interior decor ideas, especially if you love Scandinavian design! I enjoy looking at the houses and apartments for sale, mostly because I am obsessed with seeing what people’s homes look like inside.

Swedish realtors really know how to stage their homes! Either that, or every Swede is a natural born interior designer!

Virtually every listing you look at has the most stunning rooms. They are also a great source to keep tabs on what is trending in interior design.

The room in the inspiration photo has greyish blue paint on the walls, but walls in other colors would look nice with this palette too.

This decor is neutral and “safe” so you could probably get away with decorating your room with all of these items without having to repaint your walls.
